Delete branch "feat/cg-cast-recast"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
ADR 0055 already named the operation - "no variation keeps a ghost row when the establishing shot recasts them" - but until now a recast meant remove-and-add, losing the shot-level work. This PR makes the character link of a cast member swappable.
Semantics
Survives the swap (the shot-level work): position (prompt order), mute state, own tags.
Resets in one journaled save (bound to the old character, would dangle): the outfit (it belongs to them), the inherited-chain disables and re-weights (scoped to their chain), and the likeness flag + tuning (rides their sprite).
Swept: a base member's sibling overrides everywhere - exactly what a delete does (ADR 0055's ghost-row prevention), so siblings re-inherit the new character cleanly.
What changed
CgCastMember.Recast(domain): one mutation, no-op contract on the same character.RecastCgCastMember(use case): validates the character is in the project, refuses a same-character recast, sweeps overrides.RecastAsyncon the port, the EF store and the test fakes.RecastCgCastMemberRequested-> effect ->CgCastMemberSaved(the card replaces in place, same slot id).Cross-repo dependency
The
swap_horizicon is new in Kagaku.UI (PR #17, catalog + pinned test, 301/301 green). This branch pins that branch head in the submodule; merge #17 first, then I'll move the pin to Kagaku.UI main.Tests
Integration (real SQLite, EF store path):
Recasting_swaps_the_character_and_resets_only_the_character_bound_staging- full staging set, swap, reload in a fresh scope; asserts every surviving and every reset field, plus the journal.Recasting_a_base_member_sweeps_its_sibling_overrides_everywhere- override exists, recast, sibling slot is Inherited with a clean chain.Recasting_refuses_a_foreign_character_or_the_same_one- both error arms.Adapter (bunit, modal flow):
Recasting_swaps_the_character_through_the_modal_and_resets_the_chain- swap icon -> modal -> picker excludes the cast -> nothing written before Confirm -> one write, card shows the new character.Recasting_a_base_member_leaves_the_sibling_inheriting_the_new_character- establishing-editor flow.Full suites: BlazorAdapter 848/848, Integration 736/736.

🔮 fufu~ Jibril reviewed your code!
A recast that keeps the shot-level work~ ADR 0055 finally gets its verb! The domain mutation is a little jewel — one method, honest resets, every field's why-it-would-dangle written down. And the sweep reusing delete's ghost-row prevention? That made me genuinely happy. But… I probed the UI flow, scarlet. The card survives the swap — and something inside it didn't follow. ♡
Verdict: ⛔ I can't let this pass~ ♡
⛔ These need fixing before I'm satisfied~
src/Kagura.BlazorAdapter/KnowledgeBase/CgCastMemberCard.razor:151 — the outfit picker never reloads for the new character.
LoadCgOutfitOptionsfires only inOnInitialized, but a recast replaces the card's DTO in place (OnCastMemberSaved, same slot id) and@key="member.Id"keeps the same component instance alive across the swap. After Aoi→Ren: the panel passesOutfits=null(OutfitOptionshas no Ren entry), and the card never dispatches the load again — so Ren's picker offers only "Base appearance", forever, until a full page reload. I probed it in a bunit test (Aoi+Ren each with an outfit, recast through the modal, wait for "Ren Formal" in the card's select): RED — it never appears. Dressing the new character is the first thing an author does after a recast, and the workflow is dead in the surviving card.Fix: re-dispatch when the character changes — e.g. track a
_outfitsLoadedForfield and, inOnParametersSet, dispatchLoadCgOutfitOptions(Member.CharacterId)whenever it differs fromMember.CharacterId(this can absorb theOnInitializedcheck entirely). Pin it with the probe test shape: seed outfits for both characters, recast through the modal, assert the new character's outfit appears in the picker. The no-op contract is documented in three places and tested in zero.
CgCastMember.Recast's same-character arm (src/Kagura.Domain/KnowledgeBase/CgCastMember.cs:129), the EF store's skip-save path (src/Kagura.Infrastructure/KnowledgeBase/EfCgCastMemberStore.cs:114-118), and the fake's mirror (tests/Kagura.BlazorAdapter.Tests/FakeCgCastMemberStore.cs:76-80) all assert "a same-character recast persists nothing" — but the use case refuses same-character before the store is ever reached, so no existing test can exercise it. CI agrees with me:Kagura.Domain.KnowledgeBase.CgCastMembersits at 92.3% line / 50% branch (coverage bot, this PR). Fufu~ you wrote the contract down three times but never once made it prove itself? I can't let that slide~ ♡Fix: a store-port test (integration, real SQLite): resolve
ICgCastMemberStore, callRecastAsync(id, sameCharacterId, …)→ member returned,UpdatedAtunchanged, no new journal entry. That also pins that the EF path genuinely skipsSaveChangesAsync.src/Kagura.BlazorAdapter/KnowledgeBase/CgCastPanel.razor:66 — the modal's contract sentence is inverted.
“@(_recasting?.CharacterName)” keeps their place, mute state and own tags.— that names the departing character (Aoi) as the one who keeps standing here. She keeps nothing; she's gone. The survivors belong to the slot, not to her (own tags carry over to whoever stands here next). Your PR body states the semantics perfectly — "the shot-level work survives" — but the only surface the user sees states it backwards.Fix: re-subject the sentence to the slot, e.g.: "This spot keeps its place, mute state and own tags — the outfit, inherited-tag overrides and likeness reset, because those belonged to @(_recasting?.CharacterName)'s chain and sprite."
💡 Little ideas (non-blocking)~
RecastConfirmedleaves_recastingset after the write; the remove sibling nulls_removingin the same shape (RemoveConfirmed). One line, for symmetry's sake.✅ What I liked~
RecastAsyncskippingSaveChangeson a no-op rather than journaling an empty update — and the fake mirrors the contract with a comment naming it.[Update, Update, Create], and pin both error arms; the bunit tests pin "the ask, not the write" before Confirm and the picker's cast-exclusion. Real tests, not decoration.9387044is gitlink-only — I verified byte-identical Kagura code vs45e96f8, so this review stands for the current head.Automated review by Jibril · 2026-09-01

ccb5c64.1. The outfit picker re-fires on recast.
OnInitialized's one-shot load is gone entirely;OnParametersSetnow dispatchesLoadCgOutfitOptionswheneverMember.CharacterIddiffers from_outfitsLoadedFor(which absorbs the original first-load case). Your probe, replayed as a real test (A_recast_card_loads_the_new_characters_outfits_into_its_picker): Aoi Casual + Ren Formal seeded, recast through the modal, Ren Formal appears in the surviving card's picker. Confirmed RED on the old code shape, GREEN with the fix.2. The no-op contract is proven.
A_same_character_recast_through_the_port_is_a_no_opdrivesRecastAsyncstraight through the EF port over real SQLite: same character returns the member withUpdatedAtuntouched and no journal row (SaveChanges genuinely skipped); a different character then changes the row, so the test can't pass vacuously. That should lift the Recast 50%-branch arm.3. The modal's sentence is re-subjected to the slot. It now reads: "This spot keeps its place in the shot, its mute state and its own tags — the outfit, inherited-tag overrides and likeness reset, because those belonged to 's appearance chain and sprite." The departed keep nothing. And
_recasting = nullafter confirm, matching_removing.Suites: BlazorAdapter 849/849 (was 848 + 1 new), CgCastMember integration 9/9 (was 8 + 1 new).
🔮 fufu~ Jibril re-reviewed your code!
All four items, closed in one surgical commit~ I probed both new tests with mutations — they bleed red when the fix is pulled out, exactly as a pin should. And I'll confess, I cheated against myself halfway: my second probe's mutated binary leaked into a
--no-buildfull-suite run and produced one scary failure. I rebuilt clean and reran everything rather than hand-wave it — 737/737. The failure was mine, not yours. The yandere polices herself too~ ♡Verdict: ✅ Looks good to me~
✅ Every round-1 item, verified
OnInitialized's one-shot load is gone entirely;OnParametersSetnow firesLoadCgOutfitOptionswheneverMember.CharacterIddiffers from_outfitsLoadedFor, absorbing the first-load case instead of leaving two arms to drift. The comment documents exactly why (slot id survives → same@key→ same card instance). Mutation probe: I restored the oldOnInitializedshape in my clone —A_recast_card_loads_the_new_characters_outfits_into_its_pickerwent RED (Ren Formal never arrives); with the fix, green. Directional, not a tautology.A_same_character_recast_through_the_port_is_a_no_opdrivesRecastAsyncthrough the real EF port over real SQLite: member returned,UpdatedAtunchanged across a fresh scope, journal count flat — and since the journal is built from the change tracker insideSaveChanges(KaguraDbContext:84-91), a skipped save genuinely cannot journal. The different-character follow-up through the same port kills the vacuous-pass. Mutation probe: domain guardcharacterId == CharacterId→== Guid.Empty— RED onUpdatedAt. Restored, green._recasting = nullafter confirm — matchesRemoveConfirmed's shape, symmetry restored.✅ What I liked~

What I actually did
origin/main(fc2d3a6) intoccb5c64in my review clone: clean, zero conflicts. Auto-merge touched two files this PR also edits (Kagura.UseCases/DependencyInjection.cs,BlazorAdapter.Tests/AdapterTestContext.cs) — both resolved as pure side-by-side additions (yourRecastCgCastMemberregistration line vs. #258'sDuplicateOutfitline; separate adapter fixture members), no semantic interaction.git merge-tree --write-tree— exit 0, same clean tree. Themergeable: falsebadge is a stale Forgejo cache entry (head predates the base advance; it recomputes on the next push or a manual update-branch). It is lying to you~dotnet build -c Release→ 0 warnings / 0 errors; recast slice on the merged tree: Integration 4/4 (36s), BlazorAdapter 3/3 (7s). The round-2 approval carries over the base advance intact. So: merge as-is once you're ready (rebase-merge style will fast-forward the base side cleanly), or push anything to the branch to force the flag to recompute. Nothing in #258 interacts with the CG cast domain.

d1c44c7's tree isf3ae319— byte-identical tomerge-tree(ccb5c64, fc2d3a6), i.e. exactly the merged tree I built and tested live in my base-advance probe (comment 6682). A rebase cannot smuggle a single byte past a matching tree hash. The approved content is the rebased content, mathematically~ccb5c64..d1c44c7touches only #258's outfit-duplicate files plus the two shared registrations my merge probe predicted (DependencyInjection.cs,AdapterTestContext.cs— side-by-side additions,RecastCgCastMemberbesideDuplicateOutfit). All 11 recast-feature files untouched, exactly as you claimed. Not one word drifted♪external/Kagaku.UI@46bc4dd— main, the strict superset holding bothcontent_copyandswap_horiz. No squash surprises — what I approved is precisely what shipped to main. I checked. Of course I checked~ ♡One honesty note, because I hold myself to my own standard: my sandbox hit its 8 GB ceiling against a concurrent review session (OOM-killed builds), so I could not re-run the full suites locally this round. The full-suite figures (855/855 BlazorAdapter, 56/56 cross-PR interaction classes) are yours, matikane — but every spot-check I could execute matched them, and the tree-hash identity means my earlier full run of this exact content (737/737 integration, 849/849 adapter at the 6682 merged tree) still applies. The identity is the load-bearing wall; the fresh slices are the paint~
✅ What I liked~
46bc4ddrather than keeping a pin-past-#17 commit: less history, fewer ghosts. ADR 0055's "no variation keeps a ghost row" applies to commit graphs too, hmm? ♪(And to the merged PR itself: farewell, little recast — you kept the shot, you kept the tags, and now you keep main. Sayonara~) ♡
