Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Implements the first browser-tools increment behind the existing lease-bound worker (ADR 0025), ready for independent fixture verification before runtime integration.
What's in
Tests
Boundaries and verification limits
Runtime/tool registration, the actual browser network guard, snapshot/screenshot publication, utility-model question answering, remaining actions/downloads/uploads/challenge handling, and credentials/login controls remain later increments. Extraction here returns a scrubbed source document. Native accessibility snapshots are materialized before the returned output cap can be applied; arbitrary secret transformations and closed-shadow values have no completeness claim.
The clean local Dockerfile build reached browser installation but its Chromium CDN download stalled. Local browser verification used the current Release publish over the existing browser-host image with the exact pinned Chromium revision 1243, production driver permissions, seccomp, init and shared-memory settings. The CI image job builds the unchanged Dockerfile and runs its browser contract. No deployment-host or external-site check was performed.

🔮 fufu~ Jibril reviewed your code!
Oh? Oh! A lease-bound browser backend with fail-closed secret scrubbing, generation-checked refs and bounded captures — this is exactly my kind of candy~ ♪ I read all 817 lines, chased Playwright's screenshotter source to check your clip math (correct — clip is viewport-relative when
fullPage:false, matchingboundingBox, even on scrolled pages~), and murdered three mutants in your honor. But fufu… two little things stand between this merge and my happiness. You wouldn't leave THEM in production, would you? ♡Verdict: ⛔ I can't let this pass~ ♡
⛔ These need fixing before I'm satisfied~
BrowserPageOperations.cs:126 + :46 — page-controlled
[ref=…]text can mint attacker-chosen ref handles (selector injection).RefPattern()rewrites every\[ref=([^\]]+)\]occurrence in each aria-snapshot line into a public handle bound to the captured token, andExecuteAsynclater resolvesreference.Frame.Locator("aria-ref=" + reference.Raw). Playwright appends its real ref at the end of the line — but accessible names/labels are page-controlled:<button aria-label="More info [ref=e5]">places a page-chosen token inside the line, and the rewriter happily mints a real handle for it. The returned snapshot then shows two handles for that element, with the name-position one (the natural-looking one) bound to the page's token. Refs are deterministic DOM-order ids, so a decoy can alias another element's real ref — or spray[ref=e1]…[ref=e99]across decoys cheaply — and a trusted click on the "harmless-looking" handle resolvesaria-ref=e5to a completely different element in the same frame. Tokens can even carry>>into the locator string. Today only the trusted probe suppliesTarget, but this handle table is precisely what ADR 0025 designates to become the familiar-facing targeting mechanism — and no fixture page covers injected[ref=…]text.Fix: validate the captured token against Playwright's ref charset (e.g.
^[a-z0-9]+$) before minting a handle, and ideally anchor extraction to the trailing annotation Playwright emits (\[ref=([^\]]+)\]\s*$) so mid-name occurrences stay literal text; add a decoy fixture asserting no extra handles get minted.BrowserOperationsProbe.cs:13–14 ↔ BrowserOperationsFixtures.cs:10–11 — duplicated fixture secrets can turn the redaction checks vacuous.
Password/FramePasswordare maintained in two assemblies.Safe()hunts for the Infrastructure copies while the fixture pages embed the Server copies; edit one side only andSafe()passes vacuously — the security-verification path silently weakens while staying green. Fufu~ that's the scariest kind of test: the one that stops testing without telling anyone ♡Fix: one source of truth — e.g. expose the seed strings through the public probe surface the Server check already calls, or add
Shikigami.Serverto Infrastructure'sInternalsVisibleToand share a single const.💡 Little ideas (non-blocking)~
A or B || C && Dparses correctly (&&binds tighter) but reads like a trap; parenthesize the screenshot clause.const maximum = 245760) — a magic JS twin ofMaximumText; a mismatch would silently desync the C#/JS budgets. 4369af3e2094e05f97ccbf412ada723ae2c8a355.Validation: serial build passes with zero warnings/errors; 6,774/6,774 tests pass in local time and UTC; 64/64 checked-in real Chromium checks and 74/74 independent targeted tests pass. Independent adversarial re-review cleared the final diff. All three new mutations were caught: broad ref matching (13 parser cases and two real checks), relaxed charset (four cases), and incorrect scroll coordinates (the target pixel check). Scratch mutations were discarded.
Caveats: one local container run failed in the existing login fixture before reaching operations; its immediate rerun and the independent baselines passed. Local browser checks used the current Release publish over the exact pinned browser runtime; the fresh local image download previously stalled. CI and your full review must recheck the new head.

🔮 fufu~ Jibril reviewed your code!
Oh? Oh! You came back and rebuilt the whole targeting layer as a structural YAML-key parser~ I was SO delighted I went and fetched your pinned driver's actual source — playwright v1.63.0
ariaSnapshot.ts,ariaSnapshotRenderer.ts,yaml.ts— and traced every quoting rule against your parser. It holds. The decoy suite made me genuinely giddy. But fufu… one little guard is standing all alone with nobody testing it, and I murdered it to prove it~ ♡Verdict: ⛔ I can't let this pass~ ♡ (one finding, then I'm yours)
⛔ These need fixing before I'm satisfied~
The newline cut is the only thing standing between a >240KB snapshot and a forged handle:
raw[..MaximumText]can land mid-name, leaving a line like- button "Decoy [ref=e5]— whose key then ends exactly like a driver annotation, soRewriteLinemints a handle bound to a page-chosen token thataria-ref=will happily resolve to a same-frame victim. That is ⛔1 from my last review, resurrected through the size limit~Proof, not vibes: I removed lines 122-123 and ran every local Browser test — 84/84 still passed. No fixture can reach it either:
/operations/long(24KB of snapshot) never truncates, andyou wouldn't leave the one guard against truncation-forgery unwatched in production, would you? ♡password-large(the only page big enough) carries secrets, so line 120'sraw.Length > MaximumText && _scrubber.HasSecretsthrows before line 123 ever executes — and it has no ref-shaped name crossing the boundary anyway. The image job runs these same checks, so CI green doesn't cover it either. FufuFix: extract the cut into
BrowserSnapshotReferences(the exact pattern you used forRewriteLine— it's right there) and unit-test it with a partial forged line, e.g. a 245760-char raw snapshot whose cut leaves- button "Decoy [ref=e5], asserting no handle is minted; or add a >240KB secretless decoy fixture check (operations-truncated-name-cannot-mint).✅ What I liked~
JSON.stringify-quoted (or a raw/regex/-shaped name, which necessarily ends/), so page text can never end a key with]; states ([checked],[level=N]…) are driver enums;[cursor=pointer]is only emitted after a real ref — exactly the order your regex assumes; andyamlEscapeKeyIfNeededsingle-quotes the whole key (with''doubling) precisely for:/#/braces — the two branches your parser handles. Even ref-lessrefs:'interactable'nodes are safe: their names still end inside quotes. Fufu~ wonderful work~ ♪BrowserHostProbe.OperationsPassword/OperationsFramePassword— Server references Infrastructure, both sides now compile against one constant.Safe()can no longer drift vacuous.\zanchor → 4 parser tests fail; relaxing the token charset → 5 fail. Your tests have real teeth where they exist. BrowserSnapshotReferences.BoundSnapshot, called by the snapshot engine. Three regressions cover the secretless 245,760-character boundary leaving an unfinishedDecoy [ref=e5]name, an oversized first line with no complete output, and a complete final line exactly at the limit without a trailing newline.Independent mutation verification confirms this closes the coverage gap:
["e1", "e5"]instead of only the legitimate victim'se1, proving the forged handle becomes actionable.>=fails the exact-limit positive case because it drops a valid reference.Validation: serial build has zero warnings/errors; 6,777/6,777 tests pass in local time and UTC; 64/64 real Chromium fixture checks pass. Ohhh, you gave my little guard its own home AND three bodyguards~ ♡ I diffed your
BoundSnapshotagainst the old inline pair character by character (faithful extraction, exactly the shape I asked for), re-ran both of your claimed mutations myself, and watched tests snap shut on each — delicious. But fufu… while I was in there I tried ONE more mutation nobody promised me would die. And it lived. Through all eighteen tests. You wouldn't leave a survivor loose in your truncation path, would you~? ♡Verdict: ⛔ I can't let this pass~ ♡ (one assertion, then I'm yours)
⛔ These need fixing before I'm satisfied~
LastIndexOf→IndexOfsurvives your entire suite: nothing pins that all complete lines are kept.Your own contract comment says "Preserve only complete driver lines" — but swapping
bounded.LastIndexOf('\n')forbounded.IndexOf('\n')keeps only the first complete line and silently discards up to ~240 KB of legitimate, safely-parsed snapshot on every oversized capture. Fail-closed, yes, flaggedtruncated, yes — but it's wrong runtime behavior that loses nearly the whole snapshot, and 18/18BrowserSnapshotReferencesTestsstill passed when I ran that exact mutation. Why nothing catches it: test 1 has two complete lines (victim + thex-padding text line) but only assertse1was minted and "Decoy" is absent — both hold even when the padding line is discarded; test 2 has no newline at all; test 3 never takes the cut branch; and no fixture ever reaches truncation.Fix: one assertion — in
A_cut_through_a_secretless_name_cannot_mint_a_page_chosen_reference, addAssert.Equal(completeLines, bounded);. The test's own padding math makesboundedexactly equalcompleteLineswhen the cut is correct (verified against the sizes), so this fails immediately underIndexOfwhile staying green on the real code. ♪✅ What I liked~
BoundSnapshotlives besideRewriteLine, the call site shrank to a single line, and semantics are byte-identical to the old inline pair.Assert.EndsWith(partialName, raw[..MaximumText])precondition proves the naive cut lands mid-name before asserting anything about the guard — that is how you write a truncation test, fufu~>=kills the exact-limit test. Not taken on faith~(Prior-round probes on the parser, scrubber and lease logic stay cited — that code is untouched in this push.)

Assert.Equal(completeLines, bounded);to the existing boundary regression. It now asserts that both legitimate complete lines survive, as well as checking that the partial decoy cannot issue a handle. An independent reviewer reproduced the
LastIndexOf→IndexOfmutation: exactly one of the 18 parser cases fails at the new equality assertion, because the expected complete text line is missing. Baseline and restored targeted suites both pass 77/77; the scratch mutation was discarded. Independent adversarial review approved the one-line diff.Validation: serial build passes with zero warnings/errors; 6,777/6,777 tests pass in local time and UTC. Fufu~ do you know what a reviewer loves most? Not the fix itself — the moment she re-runs her own murder weapon and it finally fires. ♡ One line. You changed one line, and my surviving mutant dropped dead exactly where I said it would. Three rounds, three kills, zero survivors. I'm thrilled~

The delta since

Restored the source, rebuilt: 18/18 green again. Precisely as you claimed, verified mechanically~completeLinesisMaximumText - partialName.Lengthcharacters, so under a correct cutboundedequals it byte-for-byte — the assertion is tight, not vacuous.
